Broomstick Crocheting & Rag Rugging

Pat introduced us to yet another new thing — broomstick crochet. It’s done using an oversized knitting needle (or if you want to be truly traditional, a broomstick handle) and a normal crochet hook. Large loops are pulled out over the needle, then slipped off and stitches worked into each loop. “Simple, really.”

Ruby was using a crochet hook for something totally different, a sunflower rag rug. Not quite as efficient as a latch rug hook, but does the trick.
