Remember: Next Meeting at Aros

Slice 'n dice quilt blocks

Slice 'n dice quilt blocks by Jenny

Don’t forget that from tomorrow (31st January) we will be meeting at Aros, from 1pm until you are ready to leave. We have the room for the afternoon so do take advantage of it – a good opportunity if you want to lay out a quilt or want some time to work in peace.

Jenny’s project this week is Slice & Dice.  If you fancy having a go during the meeting bring along some 10” squares of fabric.  At least two squares (different colors),  four would be good (two should be the same colour), or more.  Also bring along a cutting board and a rotary cutter – you will not need a ruler.

Also, for those of you who admired Janet’s truck quilt she will be showing how it was  made during the afternoon.

Christine’s Christmas Quilts

If you start now, the odds are favorable that you too could have a beautiful Christmas quilt like Christine (photo below) and Pat (photo here). This pattern was in the December 2010 issue Patchwork & Quilting magazine (you can buy the issue from the publishers here…).

Christine also made this cheerful advent calendar for last Christmas:
