UFO* Day at Aros

*That’s UFO as in unfinished object, not flying saucers…

A sunny and hot day for UFOs at Aros. Lots of excellent chatting didn’t hold back the productivity. But then it’s only a few days and it’ll be a fortnight till our 2010 exhibition!

April Aros Day

The weather obviously didn’t know we were having an Aros Day as there was not a snowflake in sight, but instead gorgeous sunshine! A fun, productive day which saw, among others, Jennifer elbow-deep in the black blocks for her Loch Lomond quilt, Christine, Val, and Barbara working on their squares designed at last week’s workshop, and Dorothy and Peta hand-quilting. Lin and Maureen worked on their French braid quilts, Chad blanket-stitched sheep, and Marion cut blocks for future I-Spy quilts.

Deciding what colors to use in a French braid quilt is harder than sewing it! We look forward to seeing it sewn up Lin!

Extreme Circular Knitting

The concept of “just one more row” takes on new meaning when you’re knitting a table cloth on circular needles that grows from a few stitches to in the region of a thousand!
