I liked the way the quilts were displayed so a person could get in there and take some photos to remember quilts by. In fact a quilting buddy of mine and I were thinking if we HAD to move away from Norwich, we’d head for Skye as we both like traditional quilts. She sent me your web site since she knows one of my most favourite projects is a Sunbonnet Sue one (or the bonnet ladies as I’m currently doing). To the lady who is doing those, check out the Ondori book on Sunbonnet Sue if possible as it has some of the cutest ones around even though it is pricey and written in Japanese, the latter now seeming to matter since the patterns are so clear. Thanks ever so much for putting your quilt show on the web. I’ve really enjoyed seeing it. Best wishes and happy quilting, Alita

My daughter and I are planning a trip to Scotland in Sept. 2010 and one of the places we want to visit is the Isle of Skye. I have been quilting for about 16 yrs. I found your web site and am interested in corresponding with one of your members. I live in Colorado USA and belong to several guilds. We have a number of guilds here and I try to keep up on what is happening. Next week I will be attending a retreat Divide which is just outside Colorado Springs. I go with a friend and we always have a load of fun and always pick up good ideas and hints. And of course more tops to add to my stash. It has outgrown my sewing room and is invading my garage. We also do charity quilts for different organizations in the state and our town of Pueblo. Would love to be able to exchange ideas and such if anyone is interested.

      Hi Judy

I would love to correspond with you to exchange thoughts and ideas etc and to know what is going on in the USA.

If you do get to the Isle of Skye in September do come along to our meeting on Monday 6th September at the Shinty Club (1.30pm to 4pm). We would love to meet you. Anyone (who isn’t a visitor) will be able to direct you to the club.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
