The Fabric Crayons Meeting

Skye Quilters Meeting

There were nearly 20 people at the meeting, though it doesn't look like it in this photo!

Crayola fabric crayons

Crayola fabric crayons: draw with them on paper, then use an iron to transfer the image to fabric. (Remember it'll be reversed.)

A few people were creating interlocking squares quilts, which was Jenny’s project for the 5 October meeting.

Lin was busy with a different style of squares (the photo doesn’t do justice to the choice of fabric colours!):

Marion also brought the two fabric sketches she’d made using an embellisher machine at a “Drawing for Textiles” workshop by textile artist Dionne Swift at the Knitting and Stitching Show in London. (You can read more about it on Marion’s blog here.)
